....or the rear screen, heater takes a while.

Would save some time in the morning, but you would need to know in advance to use it, and there for would know it will be frosty in ther a.m. so would know to get up erlier anyway..... :-/

I dont bugger about with de icer and scrapping any more, screen de mist on full, rear screen and mirror heater on, heated seats on and wait, rear window takes longest but i rely on reversing sensers to avoid any rubbish bins when reversing out of the drive.... depends how severe the frost is of course.

But would be interesting to know if it works  :y

well according to the single review on Halfrauds it does not work, but thats only 1 review.

I was wondering if a home made mixtre would work, cloth drenched in anti-freeze wiped across the windows?

I would only need to do it for 3 days so if it works i would just put it on every night.

Not one single cracked screen in thirty two years.....as soon as the hot water hits the ice ....it cools it enough ......so no problems.
It even worked on the  British Leyland crap I owned in the seventies. :y :y :y ;) ;)

Never seen a car crack it's screen although know this is a distinct possibility. What I did see in my motor mechanic days was the laminate plastic in the front screen had melted.

I use luke warm water myself.
