central heating problem

all my rads are getting hot except my bathroom one.not that im a southern softie that needs his heat   ::) any ideas why. have bled the rad but its ok. was working last time i used it but that was about 8 months ago

Shut the rads off except the bathroom, boiler on full, when bath rad gets hot open other rads accordingly. Furthest from boiler open fully then work back to the nearest to the boiler opening valves incrementally

are we talking about the central heating boiler or the wife as im divorced   ;D ;D ;D

No nancy boy central heating when I was a nipper.......ice all over the inside of the windows was common........and that was in the days when we had PROPER WINTERS.. ;D ;D ;D
I was informed by my parents ......that this deprivation  of heat was "character building"....read f###ing freezing  :o :o ::) :y

i used to sit in my bedroom with my coat and a hat on it was that cold, used to get in bed then get undressed. walk 8 miles to work in the winter when there was so much snow the buses never came out the garage. but thats what you did then, just got on with your life with all these things going on. now its too cold in the class, send them home

getting back to my heating. tried what you said rob but still no good. i should point out that if my hot waters on my bathroom rad should come on. but noooooooooo   ;D ;D

Have you a combi or a condensing boiler ?

Are both sides Fully open?
Had the same prob here was one valve not fully open.

Try turning all the other rads off except for the bathroom one. I had this once, and this cured it. Once the rad has warmed up put the others back on.

If it has a thermostatic radiator valve (TRV) on it, these often seize up in the summer from being closed too long.

If you can remove the head, you may find a small pin that operates the valve.  Pressing that repeatedly with a coin to spread the load or tapping very lightly with a hammer can restore the movement into it.  It should move about 2-3mm.

If you have a conventional system with an indirect hot water cylinder,there may be a 'bleed' vent on top of the 'loop' that goes through your cylinder,as your bathroom rad is conected into that try venting that (but be careful taking the screw off as the rubber gasket often sticks and if it comes flying off you'll loose it).
