A big thanks to Nigel - today
« on: 24 October 2009, 23:47:46 »

Well, today I collected the new Omega, as per N/Nigel's thread in the for sale section.

5 hours on the train - the train was rammed with football hooligans, but I was lucky enough to have booked a nice cheap advance first class ticket  ::) so I had my own individual seat, and table service  :D

Nigel met me on time as agreed, and I found him no problem thanks to his super directions!

As to the car - well -

Aside of the known issue with the manifold, it just cannot be faulted.

The advert stated stress marks, dings, stonechips - I've yet to find any!! The car is really, really immaculate.

She drives faultlessly - the gearbox is smooth, no undue noises - absolutely perfect.

300 troublefree miles home - it felt nice to be in something proper! 34mpg all the way back.

Cheers Nigel - never have I met such an honest guy selling a car. Everything totally in order - the chap was even good enough to arrange the MOT before I came, so it has a full ticket...
