mmmm   how much does that bucket hold ??? If its one of these

then 40 cu.meters .... thats 40 x 220 = 8800 gallons !!

At 10lb to a gallon thats 88000  lbs !!!

at 2240 lbs to a ton thats just under 4 ton of water !! 

No wonder it bent !!

(you metric kiddies can do your own sums !!!  )

so .... if that 'small' amount of water weighs 4 tons, just think of how many tons of water have battered various bridges around the Cumbria area.  :-?
