Is it correct,that you have to worm a house cat.We have had him for 7 years he never goes out,our last cat lived for 12 years and was never wormed.The vet told us this but i think she was angling for the 36 pounds,for a 12 month supply.Also when we last took him down to the same vets,she put in the wrong booster.Witch was 21 pounds she also said as i have put this one in he will,have to have the second one as well.This is another 21 pounds,we could not refuse the second one because she said the cattery would not accept him,with only the first course.So far this has cost 78 pounds,but the original booster was only 19 pounds.I think shes taking the piss and think we should use another vets.Any comments apreciated moggy :-/

No, you dont have to.

we get our wormer from other places than the vet (petshop / makro etc)  exactly the same and MUCH cheaper.

ours does go out so bit more needed.

sounds like you vets doesnt need lessons in making money!  they should have given compensation for giving wrong jab, not charged you twice!

we have to take the record chart every time for them to accept the cat.

Jimbob she hasn't charged me twice, the booster comes in two parts.That 21 quid each and you cant have one without the other. Also i know what you mean about the cattery's but they have accepted him 5 times before with the normal booster 19 quid for the year.But the one she gave him had leucogen in hence 21 quid each.Do you think it worth phoning the manager of the practice and tell them what went on and that i am not happy

if they gave you the wrong one, at over double the price, I think its fair you should only pay the price of the correct one.
