If they are anything like the one we had at a place I used to work the are pretty good. We used to use an ammonia solution as a cleaning fluid. It was very good at breaking down all the crud stuck in intracate parts of jewelry.
We used to have competitions to see how long you could keep your finger in it. The pain started off like tooth ache in your finger and ended up like somone had hit it with a mallet  :o

Probably a good idea then to remove your rings from your fingers before using it.  ;D ;D

Bit harsh I was only seventeen at the time and as you probably know at that age you do some crazy things. I shudder to think what the ultrasonic waves were doing to our body tissue, bones and blood  :o

Beware that some of these, especially the jewellery cleaners, are just a rampant rabbit with a reservoir on top. ::) More infrasonic than ultrasonic.

I do the doors in jewelers from time to time and have been told not to wast money on them and use a soft tooth brush and some soapy warm water with fairy liquid.

As previously posted if it's a good one they do the job, I used to put intricate pieces of jewelery in them switch it on and after a couple of minutes you could see the dirt breaking down into the cleaning solution

Well I went for the Ultra 7000 one, just used it to do a selection of jewellery, tweezers and a razor.

£30 off ebay, plus some cleaning solution.

Very impressed with the results, every thing has come out much cleaner than it went in, and the old solution was disgusting.
