Dodgem rubbers

Anyone got a set of these to fit a facelift Omega?

It's just been hit again-the ninth time in three months-right under my nose outside the office window.  They don't park here, they ABANDON.

This time by a lady Focus estate driver, trying to get into a space long enough (no exaggeration) for two cars.  Tried about eight shunts, ended up on the pavement and in my towbar....

The other day another driver had 30 goes at getting in a space big enough for a bin lorry and each time got further and further away from the kerb-so just abandoned it int he middle of the road.

If I set up a you-tube video for these parking bays, no-one would believe it was real.

Daft thing is, it is the best place in the town-at least I can see people hitting it  :o :o

just hand a load of tyres round it like an old barge  ;D


bad parking is becoming a real problem, obviously not taught / tested enough  >:(

As well as not giving a damn about anyone else's property or how they inconvenience others by being too bone lazy, stupid or careless to at least make some form of competent effort.

I always wondered why there was only one bakery as they are all so inter-bread  ;D

Not Leominster, anyway-I work in Knighton where there are more fields than roads  :o

Sounds similar to what DLT (DJ Dave Lee Travers) did years ago to an Allegro, seems he went a bit further though.

Since the 1970s, DLT's, vehicles have included a Renault 5 Gordini, a Trans-Am - known as the Flying Banana, several large American cars including a rare 1963 Thunderbird and a massive Winnebago motor home.

In 1980, he transformed his secretary's troublesome Austin Allegro into the London-proof Car. Like UFO 1, it too was used for promotional purposes. But what, you may well ask, is a London-proof car?

In order to combat the strains of driving in the capital, a pet hate of Dave's, the car was equipped with such extras as an anti-taxi Polaris missile launcher on the roof, anti traffic-warden bars on the front and rear, and 12 spare tyres to prevent knocks.

To enable Dave to park the car anywhere, double yellow lines were painted over the boot, roof and bonnet!

I had a Renault 5 Turbo II back in 88/89, and rest assured that almost 200BHP in a car that small was something to have respect for  ;)

Also had a Firebird in the mid nineties.
Nice in a straight line, but don't think about cornering at what any reasonable person would deem as "speed".....it simply wasn't happening.

I know exactly what the OP means about car parks though. Both of the MIG's we have owned have ended up suffering thanks to the self-abusers who lack spacial awareness skills, but I still can't fathom out why the 4x4 doesn't have the same problem  ::)
