I got my great 3ltr mv6 estate from Guy a week ago, all good ! sold my toyota celica today all good, asked my son to post the letter to DVLA with new owner details on, all good !! , till i realised he had posted the envelope with the cash from my celica in it and not the  envelope with the V5 in it  !!!!!!! happy days !!!!!

Was it a plain envelope? Was it in a pillar box near you?
Or main Post Office
If a pillar box waiting for postman to empty is no good, you need to go to sorting office, or was it addressed to someone, the envelope with ££££ in

I would make sure I was there when the box is emptied.If the postie wont let you have it follow him to the post office or sorting depot and sort it out there.If it gets into the system you will be lucky to see it again imo.Good luck with it.

Be at the post box when the postie arrives. Stand in front of his van or lock yourself in it if you have to & dial 999. I know you have no proof that envelope is yours but no one else is looking for it as no one else knows...except me!!!!

thanks Albs post box is 200 yds from my door if i get no joy 5am monday morning i will hijack he person who trys 2 empty the box 4pm monday !! lmao

Put another envelope in the post box (A4 size). and write on it with a black marker.

I ACCIDENTLY POSTED A BLANK ENVELOPE WITH CONFIDENTIAL PAPERWORK IN IT
( WITH CASH IN IT) (Read what I put later).


PLEASE CHECK INSIDE.

Then put the ammount you posted and contact phone details with address inside it.

Then if you can be there at the collection time (They are usually on time) just be aware that the postie /collection may stand his ground as by law, no one is allowed to touch the post once you posted it.  Take the van registration, ask him where it goes from there and ask him to ring his boss to see if you can meet at the sorting office.   Do not tell the collection guy of the second envelope or of the cash in the blank one, then if they are not emptied out then he may have lifted them

The two envelopes should confirm you are the owner of the money, also take pics/video of the A4 envelope and pictures of you showing what is writeen on the front whilst holding then posting it as added proof, try not to draw attention to what you are doing though.
