I was once barged out of the way at an airport check-in desk, by a well known pugilistic Labour politician and his entourage......I even heard that 'old chestnut': "don`t you know who I am?" when I objected to my check-in being interrupted and I was then physically pushed aside by an aide.
.....a true legend in his own mind! ::)

I have no time for the famous (or the not-so famous) and their attitudes. >:(

Wish i'd have been there Debs. I'd have slung the so called aide across the terminal, see how he liked it. I'm not a chauvinist & know many women who are more than capable of standing up for themselves but i have a protective nature & despite my gob was brought up to be well mannered... i still hold doors open etc. ::)

Have a well known ancestor, who briefly was head honcho for England. Thats on my mother's side.  Know very little about my dad's side, sadly, despite speanding a lot of time and effort trying.

In a previous job fixing phones, I've met lots of famous people, in their own homes (my area included the South Bucks area (Midsomer country), which had a high number of TV/Film personalities).

Talking of Midsomer, Mrs TB has a photo of her and her mate, with John Nettles stood between with his arms around them, back in his Bergerac days.

Tut Tut Debs :) , however he was certainly attractive and charasmatic and oddly enough, when he finished formula one driving he became a successful budgerigar breeder - those two professions just don't seem to go together do they.

Saw another of his type try it at the UK immigration desk once. That bull doesn't wash with those jobsworths.

"I don 't care. Get to the back of the queue like everyone else."

I didn't PMSL much. ;D

My Brother in Law used to lodge with the Captain of Rotherham United before he married my Sis  I also used to work for a guy that was a Rotherham United player in the 60's

My mate used to be a designer and photographer for the Sunday and other newspapers and has a littlebook with all the page models parsonal numbers in it.

I also know a couple of page 3 girls, one of which used to do the Benny Hill show.

My ex, used to live in a house opposite the Mum of Duggie Brown and Lyn Perry.
