Right Folks.

Here is a link to a Steam Shunter my late brother David Proudley and about 9 close friends bought from Dai Woodhams in the 70's. It was shipped from Woodhams to Penderyn Quarry in Hirwaun and restoration started but sadly, interest dwindled and they eventually donated it unfinished to a museum in Swansea. I went there today looking for it but was not there. So made a few phone calls and was told it is on the Gwili Railway, so I called them and they said no we do not have it but they THINK it is on the Teifi Railway, but I thought that cannot be right as the Teifi is Narrow Gauge, so I did some internet searching and after a few hours I found the picture below, the Shunter is all finished. It is after all on the Gwili Railway, well it was according to this picture in 1995. So I will call them tomorrow or Saturday as I am off to the NRM in York for the day tomorrow. Here is the link..........

I tried to print the picture but it seems locked. Any ideas how I can print this picture will be greatly received
D.
Drag the picture onto your desktop and go from there. :y
Cheers!!! Worked Perfect, well sort of, It printed but the bloody printer ran out of colour ink half way through. I must be unluckiest person I ever met.
Oh Well, off to Tesco for some Lexmark 24, I think. ;D ;D ;D

We will be having our spring diesel gala on May 15th and 16th to include:

"Rail Ale" and an intensive timetable, showcasing our superb collection of classic Diesels, along with some special visiting locomotives too.

We have one of the best collections of Heritage Diesels in the East Midlands, with most of the locomotives types that were once common throughout the area. If you remember summer trips to "Skeggy", the Cornish Riviera or forays to London, locomotives in our fleet will bring back the memories. Or maybe you remember the vast numbers of coal trains moving locally mined coal from pit to Power Station - we have representative locos from those trains too.

Our Diesel events have proved to be some of the most popular on our calendar. We always have an enviable range of Real-Ales on-train, which can be enjoyed with snacks and light meals.

In 2010 we will debut new arrival "Peak" 46010, and anticipate special visiting locomotives too. Topped-off with an excellent selection of real ales from our on-train catering services, and a diesel-only theme on our small-scale railways, this event will be a "not to be missed" gala.

Reserve the dates in your diary for what promises to be a cracking weekend!

This event runs with a special, intensive timetable.

Resident operational diesels are:

Class 56, 56097
Class 47, 47765
Class 47, 47292
Class 25, D7629 (25279)
Class 20, D8007
Class 20, D8154
Class 73, 73110
Class 46, 46010
08220
08114

And I will be working on both days on 47292 plus other lesser tasks......and will most probably be driving at some point to!

And Di, enjoy the NRM, its a great day out (free entry but the parking is charged)

Yes my folks live not far from the MNR where they were doing up Grid 40 Oystermouth before it was moved to the Battlefield line. Quite a beast it was.
