Miliband was on the radio at lunch time today banging on about how the science was proven and unarguable.

All he established was that he knows SFA about science.   :)

I've had this discussion before. Lord Adonis was an education minister (bloody good one too), he was moved aside to make room for Ed 'dangle berries'. He is now in transport, but I doubt he has suddenly become an expert on trains, cars etc.

When these idiots are being interviewed they should bring their team of advisors with them instead of pretending they know.

Don't think the Beeb will let them do that, but I do feel that he could make a little more effort to find out how science works.  For the most part, it isn't about "facts", its about hypotheses.  To get from there to a conclusion generally requires a few iterations and a bit of a rethink. :)

In keeping with the very tough requirements, to have more than a working knowledge of one’s brief, placed upon those who seek to occupy such high office in this administration of all the talents, I think our Climate Secretary is more than qualified.

In addition, the fact that he is at the fore-front of this struggle fills me with the utmost confidence that our government will guide this country to safe waters through the gathering storm of this global climate disaster.

In Mr Milliband we have a man in whom we can place our trust.

Our nation is safe and will bathe in the light of glory once again thanks to his dedication and wisdom:y :y

Wow this is a long thread. Heard talk last week that sea ice breaking up around Antartica is being caused more by storms/rough seas than any actual warming, now what is causing the storms/rough seas ?

For all the increasingly suspicious utterances of the IPCC and their camp-followers, running-dogs, toadies and blinded disciples, I would have thought that the true sustainer of all life on this planet has a much bigger say in how our climate will change.

Scientists have long been aware that disturbances on the sun can trigger dangerous x-rays, charged particles and magnetic fields that can disrupt power supplies, communication signals and aircraft navigation systems on Earth.

Actually he is and is possibly the ONE person in government who knows what he is doing, he is also being wooed by the other two main parties.

BTW it seems that Adonis was a railway enthusiast when he was young.

Millipeed is an idiot and Ed 'dangle berries' - well where do I start ::) ::)

Tongue firmly out of cheek here, my wise nephew :y :y

Hang on - isn't this the theory that was proposed in the Channel 4 film The Great Global Warming Swindle about 3 years ago?  I thought that the program had been discredited along with the scientists it featured and their theories.

Good read here!

Skullduggery, anyone?

http://www.climatechangefraud.com/politics-propaganda/6249-climategate-is-the-british-government-conspiring-not-to-prosecute

 :o :o

The answer is here of course;

The real mystery therefore is how the Commission came to misread the very Act which brought it into being. Undoubtedly a successful prosecution involving such world-ranking scientists would be extraordinarily embarrassing, not just to the Government but to the entire global warming cause

The following has had me puzzled for some time;

I think we should be told. (As Private Eye would be asking were it remotely interested in investigating the AGW scandal which unfortunately, for some bizarre reason known only to its editor, it isn’t)

I'm not sure by whom J and I didn't see that programme.  I would have thought however that if NASA is mounting this mission, there was something of interest to be investigated.

Irrespective of whatever energy is generated and subsequently used here on earth -  and its resultant waste product of course - the sun must hold the potential to render all that irrelevant.

Hava a look at these:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Great_Global_Warming_Swindle

http://climatedenial.org/2007/03/09/the-great-channel-four-swindle/

Maybe a large part of the program was biassed political propaganda, but the sun cycle theory was expounded then, and got rubbished by the critics who said the entire program was nonsense.

I don't know. :) :) :)
