will give a new motherboard a go then
any recomendations on where to buy from
used to use ccl but the quality seems to have dropped

I've used Novatech several times for "bundled" boards ... board, CPU, memory, all matched and tested ... saves a lot of hassle ... :)

Aria or Ebuyer are ok, plenty to choose from for a bundle, unless you are just wanting to go for a new board, downside there is it depends on the CPU.  :-/

imo, before buying anything I would test the chasis and psu with a borrowed one..
