VX parts dep't AARRGGGHH
« on: 14 April 2010, 09:15:49 »

Was supplied the wrong crank sensor in Nov last year, only one option showing on the system for my reg number so took it, part had been supplied to someone prior to me and returned ( presume for the same reason) apparently now the system shows 3 options but the pleb manager won't exchange the one I have for the right one despite knowing they ballsed up.

Any ideas of how to take this further with Vaux or consumer rights?

All they need to do is give you a full refund, then sell you the correct part.

As it was supplied in Novemeber, can't see you getting any joy now.

I'd chuck it on ebay and buy the right one  :-/

I think they have a no returns policy on electrical stuff anyway (which is stupid).

I agree - chuck it on ebay and cut your losses. :-/

They might have, but if THEY supplied the wrong part, they should accept it back. IMO

Thanks for the comments, I had a lengthy conversation with the parts manager who has acknowledged HE made the balls up when serving me and had let me down after me trusting their expertise ;D in vauxhall parts. If I bring the part in he will exchange for the correct part but due to the new financial year will not be able to provide an invoice therfore no guarantee, as the part I need is less than the one I have he will make up the difference with some part I may need( could do with some front pads TBH ).

Although not over the moon at least I will be out the cr*p and mobile again.

Any thoughts of opinions?
