If you Google the problem you may find out how to make it miss the rest as well!!! :D

To maintain balance (ha ha), the Beeb (presumably) consistently mis-report The One Show on Freeview EPG.  The programme has always started when the TV goes across.

Not that I'm defending Sky you understand. :D

Eastenders allways seems to have started ahead of its time, are the clocks set properly at the BBc or do they just do what they want when they want.

Not sure how good the freeview EPG is for recording accuracy, as Media Center uses a (seemingly very accurate) guide it regularly downloads from the Internet.  Very, very, very rare for it to misrecord or otherwise give grief, virtually all instances have been where there is a last minute change of schedule.

One of the main purposes of EPG is to flag up actual start and end times despite last minute changes to schedules.

They should be fed with info from the transmission automation systems that most broadcasters now use.

Internet feeds would need to be based on deals with the broadcasters if they wanted to come close to emulating that.

My current problem is that my PVR takes pleasure in wiping the digital channels from its memory and subsequently, all the series-linked record lists that get built up over the weeks. >:(

apart from the PDC in the analogue days, yet to see a working one....

MCE only grabs its guide automatically twice a day, iirc, so could never deal with last minute.

From what friends/colleagues have said about their Freeview PVRs (and Sky+ boxes as well), MCE is a damn sight more accurate at getting the whole program...
