Indeed that sun was a bit warm, I've taken on a pinkinsh hue myself.
I think most of the unpacking is a job for tomorrow I'm bloody knackered. Nothing whatsoever to do with a certain admin plying us with fire water till the wee hours. ;D ;D

A great meet, helped by the brilliant weather and scenery. Well done Daz for organising everything!
Hope everyone on the M6 south didn't get held up too much! nice to put some faces  to names.
Thanks to Mr and Mrs Dundee for the wondeful food, and also the same to Guy. The stew was timed just right as it started to get really cold.

Just got out of the Omega myself.

Clicked over 100,000 miles just as I pulled out of the camp site gate at 14:00 hrs this afternoon. Got back at 20:30 after a load of detours around the Massive area due to a solid M6 - just in time to pick up mrs. KW and head off to heathrow to collect her mum. Mileage now just clicked over 100,400 and I feel fine although a little radiant as well.

Don't often realise what a comfy car the Omega is.

Just about all unpacked too.
Good to see some familar faces and some new to me too.
- Hope no one minded me being with the family more.

Caught a touch myself - but I'll be nice 'n brown in the morning.

Shame I has to wait soooo long at the A66 layby - had I realised I had *that* much time I'd have put a the kettle on !!!!!!!    ;D

Yes, was a cracking meet.  Daz, that site was a good find  :y

Huge thanks for bringing that massive BBQ, really did the job nicely.
Beautiful curries / sweet and sour / stew from The Dundee's and Amigo  :y

Lovely weather, lovely campsite, great company.

The kids all had a whale of a time too, playing together brilliantly.

The usual 2 hours for us, we left the M6 at 20a before all the trouble  :)

Bring on the next one  :y

Thanks to all, we loved it.  I got bloody well sunburnt in the car on the M6 - my climate plays up on idle, so we sat in traffic with windows open, nice breeze through.  My right knee looks like it has melted.

Despite the matrix signs and TrafficMaster, we decided, after looking at map, it was better to brave the jam, rather than detour. Reckon we were only held up at that one for 45mins.  Got another delay when the toll dumped us on the M42 though, right at NEC kicking out time.

Unpacked car, had a light salad for tea, watched Dr No (after many of us visited the Bond cars museum in Keswick), was tucked up in bed by 9:30pm :o - absolutely cream crackered.

Many thanks to Pink for arranging such a lovely meeting, Mrs Dundee for the Thai curry and sweet and sour, AmigoMV6 for the curry and the stew, dad1uk for bringing a big BBQ - useful after a certain Lincs resident 'modified' the one he brought in an attempt to get his electrics working ::) - and thanks to all those who attended. Always good to see old friends, and equally good to make new ones :y

Glad everyone enjoyed it :y

Enjoyed the Drive up there through Windermere as the Tom Tom decided that was best ;D

The weather, views, company, food were all excellent. Great to have met new faces aswell as the familiar ones too :)

Candyman, thanks for getting yourself over from Ireland it was great meeting you, hope you can manage another :y

The site owners would be only too happy for us to return so I will be booking it up for next year to. I will post a thread beginning of next year asking what dates suit most :y

I was home for 1.55 :y  I think the accident on the M6 junction 17 had just happened as we were stuck in it for around 10 minutes with ambulances flying past on the hard shoulder..

Oh by the way the Quiz was Fantastic too... which team won?? ;D ;D
