Swapped BHP for a bit of pedal power yesterday and went out for a cycle ride with a couple of mates. Just over 12 miles through our local (Broxbourne) woods which was beautiful in this sunny weather, and the route was via 5 country pubs. ::) However, why do they make saddles of modern bikes that are about as comfortable as sitting on a narrow strip of concrete. At the end of the day I felt like my rear end had been assaulted by the rough end of a pineapple!! (and even worse this morning). I'm sure that when I was younger bikes had far more comfortable saddles. :-?

lol it does get easier  ;D

maybe get some padded shorts  :y

Yeah, ironically one of the mates that came with us does a lot of cycling and he said he was wearing padded shorts. I thought he was joking and started taking the p1ss out of him but looks like he had the last laugh! ::) ;D

Actually though you're quite correct, been having a few problems with the old prostate and ended up having a biopsy op a month ago to test for cancer and got the all clear last week. :y

unfortunately had the same rear problem. found a padded seat cover it's better ;) not perfect :P.

You can get quite comfy gel filled seats from somewhere like Halfords for about 12 of your English pounds. They work very well.

It is impotent to get a decent seat as bad ones can make you important. ;D ;D

I got one of those big gel filled seats for my bike, which Miss Vamps complains that I 'take for a walk'....... ::) ::) ::)

   Sad thing is i had racing bikes with drop handlebars & gearchange on the frame & i remember this advert!!! ::) ;D
