Indeed Lizzie, as part of the sale, i will be a share holder in the management company that owns the free hold so i should be able to get things moving.

That said, i still would have to pay BT line rental it seems if i wanted Sky, which is around £15 a month. With Virgin, no BT line is needed, and their basic package (including HD) is just £23 with 10mb internet, so its not exactly end of the world.

now, i know sky has a hell of a lot more channels and what not... but why dont you get something like Freeview HD as you can get HD channels through the normal aerial and without the need of a dish

I need internet, and for the bundled cost from Virgin, its cheaper to get whole lot from them  :y

Our block of flats had a communal sky dish installed by a company called  Spectrum Assosciates (London) - i think. They made the feed into everyone's flat for free but if you wanted it connected they charged £60.00.

If you need there number i can dig it out for you.

Cheers for that  :y

I believe the issue is not actually installing the dish or how lines are run, its actually getting physical access to the roof.

Looks like i am gunna have to go with the enemy, Virgin!  ;D

Still get HD for free  :D - Basic package looks ok at £23  :)

Not like you not checking all the options for a dish (Location) especially as that is the job you have moved down there for is the first place.

It was one of the first questions i asked when i viewed the flat... even have letters from her solicitors saying Sky serve the building. But when i dug further, turns out not the case.

Too far along line now....
