Can one of you fine chaps give me the vx part number for the rear disc brake pads, and if possible the retail price (no trade car here   :'( ).

May also be worth investing in the little spring clips - I find they are often broken at the rivet...

All was well back in Feb when she was made ready for the MOT.   :-/
You never know I may well find a bit of grit trapped in the, but at that price there's no reason to not change them. I've had the barge of 2 years now anyway.
If it wasn't for having to take off the blinkin' wheel it would almost as easy a job as the door check strap nylon bush replacement.  ;D  ;D

LOL, I did the same on the MV6 a year or so ago, no real idea why they suddenly wore quickly.  Fortunately I caught mine very quickly.  Everything was free, so wasn't sticky pistons etc....

Pads replaced, but had to go to factors as local stealers didn't have them in stock!

Didn't really want to wait till next week and having now seen the state of the old ones I glad I didn't wait any longer.

Questions
1.  Who wants to see the sad state of the old ones.  :-[  :-[
2.  Why do Vx give us such a tiny little, piece of sh1te, jack to lift nearly 2 tonnes of car.  >:(  >:(
Having just use the jack I don't think I would fancy my chances much changing a wheel at the side of the road.

They are not the only ones. Invest in a trolley jack and set of Axel stands. The supplied jack is only for emergencies and not for when you are servicing parts of the car. Have seen too many come off this piece of sh*t, it does some what spoil your day. :o :o :o :o
 8-)

Similar spring, different part number (due to vented rear discs), so you should still have something - its a little cross made from springy steel.
