I've just been informed that the electrical safety checks are being done tomorrow on the unit i'm renting and i can have the keys Thursday/Friday so it looks like I won't be going to Newent. I'm really dissapointed because I missed the Lakes meet as well this year and I enjoy getting together with all the friends i've made over the years off the forum.

If I get the floor of the unit painted in time I will try and get over for Saturday but if not hope you all enjoy yourselves and take care travelling :y

Just to add, once i'm settled in there could well be a cambelt party. The unit can hold about 6 cars but there's a big parking space opposite :y

I painted my garage floor years ago. It's a long one-after-the-other 'tandem' double garage with an up & over door at one end and a pedestrian door at the other. I set off from the pedestrian door and began painting. When I got to the other end I tried to open the up & over door to find that one of the cars was parked right up to it which meant that the door couldn't be opened enough for me to get out of the garage!  :-[
Standing next to the consumer unit & turned the light's RCD on & off till SWMBO came to my rescue!  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D
