It may be considered heresy but, I much prefer the Sabre to the Merlin or Griffon

Second one down is a Triumph Snag.
Dont ever buy one, they're Shit. ::)

Yep...with a 3 litre V8......not known for it's reliability....

Imagine a 4l 32v version very possible as the V8 was based on the 1500cc engine which was closely related to the Dolomite Sprint engine

(If anybody has a spare of the small blue drain pipe on the front face I need one  ;D)

I'd recognise a Napier D18-25 anywhere

The stag engine was not based on the 1500 pushrod engine, rather the 1850 single overhead cam engine, and yes, a 4 litre 32 valver based on the sprint engine would have been possible but I imagine that the cam chain mechanism would have been a bit of a nightmare, as well as the inevitable overheating  ;D
