Commuting is getting harder now, there are a lot more people who drive slowly like 25mph on a arterial 30 limit road (when everyone used to do 33 on the speedo type).

On ordinary roads 40 is very common, the 50 drivers seem to have disappeared.

And they are also getting aggresive with it, I get one particular slowy pull out in front of me at least once a fortnight then get funny when I pass them. I think it was a Honda Jizz.

I did have to follow a slow Diseasel Volvo earlier this week but when I passed him a puff of smoke came out of the exhaust - bit too late when I was passing him.

Yep.. it does feel like people are getting slower, and slower.. although I do remember the 40-mile-an-hour gang members were pretty common even 10 years ago when I lived in Yorkshire .. you know the ones; 40mph in a NSL, 40mph in a 40, 40mph in a 30... they drive me nuts!

I hate old people on the road, they're slower and more frustrating than anybody. I was doing 15 mph behind one the other day, he was taking the mini-roundabouts super-wide and stopped at each one even though it was clear (pet hate) and then pulled over without indicating

IMO there aren't any drivers stereotypes anymore, there is good and bad everywhere, generally more bad than good though! Having said that, I think taxi drivers are particularly bad, with bus drivers not far behind them, then all these home delivery vans, the big white ones with the green arrow on the side.

Martin - you should try to be more patient with those poor creatures who are nowhere near your equals. Not everyone is fortunate enough to drive an absolute flying machine,and most of them certainly dont have your abundance of natural driving talent to make best use of it if they did.

I hate the tailgaiters sniffing right up my exhaust when I'm doing 80 going past a line of traffic......wait a sec - you want me to slow down, pull in, let you pass, come out, then accelerate back up to 80 because what? your life is more important and your time is more precious? well buddy you've proved that isn't the case by buying a convertible Audi as I can see you have no soul and contribute nothing

I've noticed that a lot of people accelerate when you cruise past them on the motorway.. I used to think it was me - no cruise control in the MR2 so I thought 'well maybe my speedo isn't accurate and I'm not really holding a steady speed' but no.. cruise on, set to 80, nicely cruising past someone until you get alongside and then oh, hello, you want to do 80 too now? 

Drives me bonkers!

we have a lot of polish at the local distribution place, i canonly assume the driving test over there isnt very hard, or they are kn**kerd after a day at work, they never look before pulling out into the road, and then do 25mph.

25 mph that is fast for Spain. having only just recently made his transition from mule to car rural man ambles along at 20!!

Old & Putrid folk have all the time in the world to go as slow as they like, but in reality they have very little time left
A few months back i saw an old gent in a Rover 400 going at around 10mph in a 30 zone with a guy in a Discovery right up his chuff, you could see the frustration on the Disco driver's face, the old gent had both hands on the wheel & was looking straight ahead, he wasn't gona be pushed into going faster
The question is though, who's the biggest liability, the old gent or the other driver :-/
