...you`d have to call him Doctor whom; `cos you`d then know whom he were!

Something else to consider about the 1928 "mobile phone" is that any time traveller from the 1980s would be using one the size of a house brick.

A time traveller of 2010 would be using a Bluetooth type device to cover up its use unless they wanted to be recorded!  So the "mobile phone" in the 1928 film is showing a time traveller of the late 1990s, early 2000s using a medium sized unit!
