The main reason the smaller parties don't do well at the polls is mostly due to peoples thinking patterns. They see a vote for a party such as the BNP or UKIP as a wasted vote because they don't have much of a chance to get into power. If everybody who has wanted to vote for one of the smaller parties did so at the same election I imagine we'd have a very different government by time the polls closed.

Come on Lizzie, you know as well as I that on polling day its a case of Labour, Conservative or Lib, and a few minorites.

If one of those parties policies said all white people will be put in the Tower, or have their hands cut off, half the silly sods would still vote for them.

If people were really honest, and don't believe what you hear and see in front of cameras, there are millions in this country that secretly wish the BNP had more power.

I agree with Liz, how come every time they want a muslim spokesperson they go for the one-eyed guy with the hook? most muslims agree he's a joke, but the Mail, Sky, Sun et al absolutely love him as he plays right to their perceptions. most muslims are like most people - dull, quiet, happy to get on with their own lives in their circle of friends, family and colleagues ie not good media fodder

Yeh... and the soldiers they want to "burn in hell" are the ones defending the country they now live in.
This is not right on any level. Why should we allow them in if dont respect the things done here and in our way... the same as if we were in their home country we would hav to respect their customs/traditions/laws etc etc etc. If it wernt for our boys and girls overseas, they would not have a country to come to so that they can have a better life!

im sure they turn down all the benefits available in the uk on principle as highlighted in another thread.

To be fair the Daily Mail was not the only paper who supported facism before WW2 - the Mirror was just as guilty for example.

I believe tolerance works in two directions, not one. To make such a provocaive statement shows a contempt of tolerance itself and it's precisely because we live in an open society that we are also free to condemn such behaviour.

i dont really follow politics and try to stay out of it as i find it reaslly upsetting how life has become in britain but on a day like today which is a way of british people showing respect for our countrymen/women who laid their lives down to preserve and keep britain british has been soiled by a select few that live here and are very british when theyre claiming theyre benefits and roofs over their heads but want the people who are fighting and dieingto still keep britainas a nation to burn in hell...what the hell is going on here..now im not being racist here but if mecca is so great that you have to face it every day and pray why arent you over there in mecca,if your homeland is so important to youfrom any race/religion that you have to have shrines to itthen why are you in britain on not in your homeland,whats happened to when in rome and dont bite the hand that feeds you,why are we housing potential murderers and religion has caused some bloody shit over the years

The Muslims I have met were fine. I have met people from most religions and had no problems.
