Got GT5 yesterday (Gran Turismo 5 for those that don't know).

As good as the game is, the replay's are amazing.
Need a wheel though...none of this potsey pads crap for me.

My biggest complaint and why I prefer GT4 is this

THERE IS NO NURBURGRING in Arcade mode.

Trot out and get a Logitech G25/G27 wheel Martin.
Totally transforms the game.

Full H shift gear selector PLUS a working clutch, well as long as you time the changes right that is...NOT always easy in the heat of a race.

got it but haven't got a playstation!! (wife works for Sony in the playstation games department!) I have slowly collected about 6 games which I can't play!!

agree - first thing i did was change the controls, totally caught me out on the first race 

graphically and physically amazing but i agree the menus are slow and torturous and you cant jump on the Top Gear track on arcade mode either!! maybe you unlock later, played it with slow old VW campers race 

anyway - first impressions - the actual meat of the game ie the racing and car physics are awesome - which is all that matters in the end

Got it yesterday afternoon. Love it, only console game I play.  Last console game I bought was GT4, so the controls are fine for me   I do have a G25 though which I need to try out.

So far completed Beginner and Amateur and level 10/11ish.  Done a couple of the Specials.

Am i the only one thinks ps3 games, good as ther are, are crap when compare to xbox games?

not played gt5 and probably wont be buying it without a test drive first. But all the ps3 games feel detached by comparison, or is it me?

Right my son said to post this I have no idea what any of this means, but anyway he said the graphics aren't as great as everyone makes out, the handling isn't as good as Forza 3, he said the graphics on the cheaper cars aren't as good as the more expensive cars, because they used less polygons on the cheaper cars  :-? This he said makes it no where near as good as everyone said it is. Ok?
