He certainly appears to be cem.  That is part of his normal route although he was in my rear garden a few weeks ago. (Garden is approx 4-5 metres above the level of that field)

I must try to scan and upload some photos of my old cat "Tiger" some time. He was a big arrogant, bad tempered ginger tom, who most of the dogs in the area were petrified of.
He was frightened of nothing. Used to disappear for weeks, even a whole winter sometimes, and just as we gave him up for dead he would reappear as if he hadnt been away.
Often brought home rabbits/ rats/ mice/ voles, and shredded hundreds of birds in the front garden over the years.
Loved to be stroked,  but if you tried to pick him up he would have lumps out of you before you knew what was happening.
He was my mate for 21 years, before he finally succumbed to the onset of diabetes.

I think 12 - 15 is probably more typical, but he was a strong stubborn old sod. He didnt actually die, we had to make the difficult decision to have him put to sleep, because at his age treatment for diabetes just wouldnt have been fair on him.
The vet wouldnt have wanted to try to inject him regularily either as he used to shred him and his staff every time they came near him. They had a note on his computer file -"warning, extremely objectionable". I think they loved him really though, because he demanded respect.

more than 15 years , rare..  but obviously home cats have more chance.. one of ours lived 18 years and lost one day..

street cats, if they can pass 5 years they are really lucky.. poison, bad foods, cold, cars, no shelter , no cure and human factor :(
females survive longer.. but males as they search long areas for females more prone to dangers.. :-/

Well I'll trade the fox for these anyday .
We have put off landscaping the top rear section of our garden after we planted out about € 150 of plants and these ,along with Bambi the daughter just out of photo , ate the lot in about two days .

Oh 'bye the way , lovely photos of all the cats .
