I'd be curious as to how many people on here actually watched it and were offended, or how many are just being offended days later?  :y

I watched the first show, there was a very funny "Knightrider" sketch, with a mentally ill guy on drugs who "thought" his car was telling him to do stuff and there was a lot of unfunny stuff, bit of a curates egg but just cos I didnt find something particularly funny or tasteful then so what? If everything was designed to be inoffensive we'd be stuck with endless repeats of dross like "Last of the Summer Wine" or" My Family" or about a thousand other lame, safe, dull s*itcoms.

so deal with it people, get over  it, dont watch it if you're easily offended, dont read about it if you're easily offended and certainly dont ban it because you're easily offended  :y

I read about it and was offended...and I am not that easily offended, but I draw the line at poking fun at specifically-named defenceless children. I find it sick, not comedic.  >:(

I am close to unoffendable on grounds of taste and decency, but a cruel "joke" about an individual severly disabled child offended me the first time I heard it a couple of years ago, and it has offended me again. ;)

I'm sort of with you BJ but would that attitude not encourage an 'anything goes' mentality.

The more lax and unconcerned people become about potentially distasteful material (in whatever field) is it not possible that some of those will lose touch with propriety and fail to recognise a situation when they should be?

'Offence'....it`s a funny thing but I seldom feel personally offended by comedy.......I can easily separate a comedic observation, from a personal attack, even when the comedy is deliberately provocative and distasteful. ;)

Manning, Vasey and now Boyle (and many others) have made a career and a darned-good living, pandering the simple tastes of their loyal audience of giggling buffoons. ::)

I freely use the change-channel and turn-off sanctions as and when necessary......`leave the kids to their fun. ;D

take it noone on here has heard of any jokes off sickipedia then......

personally I dont find what little ive heard from him as funny-oh, and i know of a FAR funnier joke about katie and harvey( but best not share it with you  :-X)but ,as with a lot of "jokes" I can sort of divorce the real people from their characters in the "joke". Lets face it, when you get down to it, a lot of "comedy" is about having a "butt" for the joke, someone or something to take the mickey out of and whilst you can add all sorts of wordplay/puns etc to dress it up and make the joke smarter that essence is still there. And can that only be funny if the "butt" is a person whose behaviour or beliefs has "opened them up " for a bit of mickey taking? A kind of socially acceptable "legitimate" target? Anyone find Mr Bean funny for example? Mainly visual I know and not  to my knowledge based on a particular real person, but should we all be offended on behalf of any real people who are probably on the ASD spectrum that act like him?

certainly agree with the latter ! Never understood her popularity and all these young girls who apparantly see her as some sort of role model to look up to. Whats that all about?

Her jugs and even those are full of plastic... while she was in the jungle all she seemed to do was keep pushing them up so they nearly popped out  of her top

i really don't think he's actually telling you the truth Nickbat, I watched it last night....I think it was a joke, not a particularly funny one, but a fictional tale none the less. at the end of the show he also told me personally to f-off, needless to say I restrained myself from phoning in to complain  :y

You may very well ask Jerry.

Many people - not just in that category - are running around with heads full of mad dog's shite
thanks to 'quality' broadcasting, great tomes of knowledge and understanding  such as Heat magazine, Hello, OK and so on, content (considered to be of great importance) derived from the internet and cellular networks, breakless parents and above all the inability to tell the make-believe world from the real one they inhabit.
