Might as well, can't exactly put it in the bin 

I never actually seen the bins being emptied, but each time i got down i always use the same one and its always empty 

Maybe same people who control the bin pickups, also decide traffic calming. I mean what pillock decided to reverse the priority on the S bend thingy down Pavilons Way

Doesn't really affect me, as I don't often go that way, but ultimately it makes little difference which way the priority is...

Had chats with the people who made up the Christmas planning, and the contingency plans.

Seems their plan is, is a collection is missed, it gets picked up next time around. If collection falls on a bank holiday, it gets picked up next time around.

Whilst that could work, it falls flat on its face when you have fortnightly collections.


I know I'm just the stupid kid from the local comprehensive, but to be, this really does highlight the 5 P's


SNC do not see piling up rubbish in black sacks for a month in the streets as a problem. Or inviting vermin into the towns as a problem. Or kids touching the strewn rubbish as a problem, because they will wash their hands before putting in mouth. Yeah, right.

We have fortnightly collections and those tiny tiny wheelie bins here (you know, the extra small ones that are too small for a pizza box to fit in) - back in Feb we didn't get a collection for weeks.. I was alright, but next door - whose full size bin is always overflowing onto the street anyway - had sacks and sacks of crap..

Not that they keep any of it in their massive driveway, oh no, they leave it all out in the carpark outside my house. Which is nice.

I wondered if we'd suffer a lack of collections this time but thankfully no. Although I did come back from work yesterday (collection day) to find that not only did they collect my rubbish.. but someone has also 'collected' my wheelie bin!  :-?

speak to the reporters at the local rag and I would think you could get front page - "Residents in arms at refuse fiasco - vermin out of control in outer Brackley - car enthusiast bitten by fox".

Also get a few people to ring up the council like you have or do it via www.fixmystreet.com where your issue goes straight to your Council from website (based on post code).

Me and a couple of others are about to leaflet 250 houses to get a nearby road resurfaced. Hell could freeze over whilst I am waiting - but you have to make an effort.

Given the chaotic state of our country PS it would appear that hell has already frozen over.

Now that I am poised to move one of the few things I will miss is a weekly refuse collection.  Houses have had the fortnighly collection for some time, but clearly the council can't cope with the concept of flats etc so I still get a weekly collection.

Only downside is that in my minor road I'll never see a gritter but so long as I can get to the end of it I'm straight off a main road.
