If I'd have known you could play the piano, you could have stood in for Entwood at the Christmas Party. :-?

;) Tolerably thanks, James....I had a massive fit of nerves just before and (I was told) I looked so-ashen that some of my colleagues thought `I might pass-out, but I did remember the entire score and kept good-tempo throughout....I`ve done it once, now; `never again! :D

....no, nothing to do with the weather; It`s final run-through tonight for Saturday evening`s local village 'follies' production.

Usually, it`s a selection of dubiously-amusing 'skits' based on notable local people`s activities during the year, along with some superb singing by our famous village-choir.

.....but this year a few of us have been planning a surprise; five of us have secretly learned some complicated piano performances; which with the help of a fake-delay in the arrival of the choir`s bus we`re going to perform 'flashmob' style. ;)

I`ve learned Arcadi Volodos` arrangement of Mozart`s Turkish March; it`s taken me 6 months of daily practice.....and I`ll be sitting quietly at the back of the auditorium until a few minutes after the M.C has announced a 30 minute delay due to the bus not arriving....when the crowd get fidgety, my 'stooge' will rise to his feet and say "it`s disgraceful, why doesn`t somebody do something".....cue Deb.! :D

...when I`ve done, another performer will quietly walk up to the stage and play their chosen and well-practiced piece.

I hope I remember everything and don`t get any more nervous.....I feel a bit queasy just thinking about it. :-/

This is how I`d like it to sound: :y

Debs....

Been performing on stage with my guitar for 35 years now, and STILL get nervous before goiung on stage, even if there are only a couple of hundred people........

BUT,    once you've done it a couple of times........................
You can do it again and again.

Go on------you can do it more than once and enjoy it......!!

Thanks, Mike! ;)
......I probably would reprise the performance if called  (and given a stiff-drink), the strange thing is I can remember very little of those three minutes on stage, for in my stage-fright, time seemed to become compressed. :D

Although I have seen "The Video" :o

I've been playing live for just over twenty five years and I'm fine with the bigger gigs, it's the smaller audiences if find myself more 'on edge'.
Wouldn't be bothered about playing to a packed stadium (not that I have mind), but a pub gig is more personal.
