LB, I would normally have said if you need to borrow a car, I have a spare.

But with your recent record I have broken the gearbox.

 ;D ;D ;D or rather  :o +  :'( when I see my premium next year!  :-[

Just glad I was driving and not SWMBO.

I was lucky, very lucky. I am bruised sore and seriously  :-Xed off! but it could have been so much worse.

Believe me, if I ever have another accident, I want it to be in an Omega!

It sounds like a steering component failure to me.....

Could have been a loose nut behind the wheel.

;DSorry Dave, couldnt resist. Glad you got out OK.
Can I have the a/c schrader caps back, and if you could just re-liquify the R314a and put it in a bottle please.

Really glad to hear you're in one piece Dave ;).....BUT...I did warn you not to interfere with my post count. I'm getting a bit long in the tooth to be driving down to Derby in the middle of the night, and trying to sabotage cars by torchlight is murder :D

Having spoken with Laidback shortly after this happened, I can say he is putting on a brave face. he sounded uncharacteristically shaken and it takes a lot to do that to my mate!

From the sound of things I think Dave and I have the same theory about what has gone wrong. If so, this will be very interesting.

Again, I am really glad you are OK mate. Give me a call later and let me know if you need anything. :y

I wonder if they re-fitted the engine mount correctly follwing the belt change.......struggling to see what that might do to the steering...
