Aren't lead engines very heavy? I've heard that the piston rings are made of pewter and that the exhaust valves are zinc plated copper. is this true :-?

it's not that long since I stripped an engine and found two wooden pistons ....  :o

I'm an "electron herder" by profession but seem to be doing so with a keyboard more than a soldering iron these days.

I write software for test equipment that is used in  the approval of mobile phones.
