I am now yet another who can sadly report that premiums have gone up a lot, and according to the AA Insurance Dept., that I use it is plus 40%.
40%!!!!

The other day my renewal notice came through at £952 (with RSA) or £785 (Highway), due to the claim of Oct. 2010 not being cleared as Third Part Fault. Last year I paid £438!!
I chased for the clearence of that claim, with RSA now confirming all has been settled as TP Fault. However the AA have just confirmed the premium has only fallen to £934 (RSA) or £743 (Highway) now the records have been amended. But, pleasingly (I think!!!) the AA after a discussion have agreed to drop the RSA (who I prefer to stay with) price to £800. With the fact that premiums have generally shot up, and this RSA policy gives me complete all round protection, which has been proved during my two claims (both not my fault) in two years, with RSA giving me 1st class service, I think I will accept and "bite the bullet".
I could go to
Sheila's Wheels which I know
could would be cheaper, but they want the money all up front which I am not prepared to do. With the AA / RSA I pay in installments that suits me.
On balance RSA for me.
