Nice thought .. but I doubt they could have got 48 serviceable at the same time ... even if we had 48 on the inventory !!!  :)

Didn't know the numbers Nige, hence the 'doubt its true' bit! 

Plus, they should be auditioning for the Red Arrows, given the position prescise flying!   ;D

Very lacking on knowledge here but i heard of the demise of the Harrier & it's impressive capabilities. Concorde, HMS Ark Royal all gone or going.
   Am i bieng over nostalgic? If so i plead guilty your honour. :'(

talk about giving the argies the green light to sabre rattle over the falklands.... maybe we should sell off all our equipment and rely on the french and jerries to defend us.... sad day  :'( :'( :'(

I wonder if its true as well that the USMC wanted our harriers to beef up theres and all our spares for em as they dont want to get rid of them at all??? :-/
