It is all over now, and went quite well, for a funeral..We had a 'Humanistic' Service so whatever you religious persuasion or belief everyone was happy, and in the case of my FIL it did mean that there was no hypocrisy, as he was not a believer.
The service was very much a celebration of his achievements in life rather any singing of sad songs etc that I have experienced previously.....Music was Frank Sinatra, his favourite singer...

Then off for a gathering at the Rosedene in Sunderland, who should be strung up for the quality of the buffet at the price they charged, preying on people when they are most vulnerable, and a lot of money was going over the bar....

Not the time to make a fuss though, and sadly the family agreed even as the bill was paid, and they are no push overs...

swmbo seems much more relaxed now, she was not looking forward to today at all, time to move on now....if a little slowly at first
