My Tuppenceworth..........
Gary Moore was to me (as I am sure many others) an inspiration.
I too, am left handed, but play right handed, and have been playing for over 45 years now, being taught at age 5, and have played semi professionallly for over 30 years, performing on the same stage as him on two occasions. (no bull****)
The mans attention to detail is astounding, being so afraid of not giving value for money and a great performance that he worries at the end of a gig that he played "good enough" (!!!)
The late Phil Lynott paid him the ultimate compliment........saying "if Jeezus himself had a rock band, he would want Gary for his guitarist!"
Well, he has him now.
I will always remember "Parisian walkways", "out in the fields" and his rendition of "whiskey in the jar" for his faultless tuneful sustain, and his attention to detail. Scott Gorham said he was simply "the man", and I totally agree.
Gary, your Les Paul will scream in Heaven, as it did on earth.
God bless you, and R.I.P.
