I have learnt I am not allowed to express my personal opinion here  :'(

I've also learnt that keeping 300ish regular members, all strangers to each other (mostly), is a full time job for the 7 of us.

But more importantly than the effort involved, the money spent, and the stress and anguish is something very heartwarming, and makes everything worthwhile...

...complete strangers, in the right environment, lose the common, modern, selfish "me! me! me!" ignorance and are prepared to put themselves out to help others for nothing more than that warm feeling of satisfaction......we call it the OOF Spirit, and I think that is very, very precious.

 :) :y :y

Well , up to now , thousands of unknown (by me :-[) English words , some idioms, and many things about engine mechanics apart from omega problems :y

but the biggest pleasure is to teach the mechanics how to do the job ;D with schemas and videos ;D ;D :y

and I hope I could reflect myself not different than what I am..and not an alien to you ;D ;D :y

Wish I had learnt that one  :(

I am quite sure I have alienated a number of people on here, and I am sorry for that. :'(

I've noticed how your English has improved over the years.  :y  :y  :y I believe it isn't an easy language to learn because we can say the same thing in many different ways.  :y

My only Turkish is 'please' & 'thank you' ( I can say it but can't remember how to write it  :-[)

Thanks Andy :) :y

My language (although using latin alphabet-thanks god we leave that arabic alphabet in history ) is very different in structure..  object, subject, nouns all in different positions (nearly reverse) .. so its very normal for you to learn and remember.. but whenever you stay here and start to learn things become easy..  however I witnessed that foreign people including my wife once start to learn my language they hardly talk theirs ;D

British/English tend to be very lazy and don't learn another language because a lot of the world can speak English & love to be able to practice their English when they meet someone that speaks it as their first language.
We once met a tour guide who could speak all sorts of languages but wanted the opportunity to 'polish'/refine her English. One thing she particularly wanted to understand was the difference between overtake and takeover;) ;) ;)

yep.. I also do the same whenever possible.. however talking is harder than the writing..  you dont have an online dictinary handy ;D ;D :-[

however it takes a bit time for your ears to understand the other side as their pronunciation  may widely differ..  I must admit that some of my own citizens here talk in a style that many people dont understand :-? ;D
