I found "Absolute Radio" recently in the Omega - actually a station that plays decent music. DJs aren't up to much, but fortunately they don't talk that much!

Oh dear. I love Moyles show & listen every day. I know he is a fat self obsessed gobshite who can be REALLY irritating but who am i to sit in judgement of that??? He really pees me off at times but i love him & he has me in tears sometimes...morbid fascination, like slowing down to look at a car crash & the rest of the team really make it work.

I do understand how some folk hate him though, i do sometimes!!

he's a 40 something geeza who pretends to be 20. every new tune he plays he makes out like its amazing but its just rubbish. and he knows that!!!

i found him mildly amusing once when i was effectively forced to listen to radio 1 for a year when my ex mrs used to drive me to work but in my mind he's just a huge tub of lard. only in my opinion of course  :y :y :y

Evening Pete. Wogan was hilariousm as was Janet & John. Not with you on Steve Wright though. He was great years back on Radio 1 but today it's all "Hi Steve love the show, wish my Granny happy birthday etc".

He's got bland, boring & talks through the "non stop" oldies!
That do-gooder tree hugging hippy singer he has on with him gets right on my tits...
Do you mean that daft mare that won't eat anything & reckons soap is bad for you, use natural crab crap instead?

She used to be a backing singer for George Michael....i rest my case!   PATHETIC!

I certainly don't listen for the music as it's all cack. I'd be happy if he talked bollix & never played any.
I don't listen to Radio 1 at any other time either & i'm sleeping with Fearne Cotten!!!!! :P :-*

:( steve wright used to be good ,but his show is just an advert for who's on the " one show " later that evening, chris evans annoying when he insists on talking to small children about what they're doing at school , started listening to ( i'm sorry, i know :( ) simon bates on smooth radio -ok don't all shout at once!

Used to like wogan in the mornings - which surprised me as I cant stand him on TV. Used to love Johnny Walkers drivetime - he is a radio god.
Steve Wright has got tedious, Evans is hateful.
I have taken to listening to radio 3 at times (I blame Zulu) I have had relief from all of it recently as Olympia very kindly sent me 3 CD,s all the way from county Kerry of a guitarist by the name of Larry Carlton last week, so they will be in the CD player for quite some time to come. 8-)

Does he still do ask Elvis, I used to laugh my head off at that  :y

Aye (and a few years back, now!), there was 'Mr Angry from Purley', 'Malcolm from the Arts Council', and 'Gervaise'

Steve Wright also used to have a cleaner woman from Belfast who was quite funny - "away you and get some therapy" and "neednt think youve got authority" were the catchphrases iirc.
He has a bloke playing the part of a daft old pensioner these days (Barry ?) who is quite funny at times, but mostly I find it a bit dreary tbh. Maybe Im getting old. ::)

I havent listened to any radio stations for about the last four years. The only two programmes I did listen to were Paul Jones's Rhythm and Blues show and I sorely miss Mark and Lard! Nowadays, when at work driving my lorry I only listen to internet blues stations, no crap DJs, no crap traffic reports, just good blues all day! Bliss!
When driving the car, 6 CD changer filled with blues, no crap DJs, no crap traffic reports, etc...
When out on the bike, who needs radio when you've got an R1 and some of the best, empty roads to destroy tyres on, lol!

Wogan was good - and the janet and john stories usually had me crying with laughter - absolute, utter, pornographic filth first thing in the morning - got away with murder some days  ;D ;D ;D

Evans used to be entertaining but he's a bit too safe and cuddly now.

cant stand ads so all local radio is out.

planet rock's on dab's ok in the summer tho if you're in the mood that early  :y

mainly 5 unless they're discussing "womens issues" - nicky campbell knows how to host a debate - and theres been some barnstormers  :o
