Good on ya Lizzie. I can saw out & fit the metal conduit casings, then re plaster but leave the final wiring to a sparky.

If i tried it you'd probably switch the shower on & make 2 slices of toast!!!! ;D :D ::)

Yes Skruntie, I can do a limited amount of plastering, but obviously this time it is just a case of filling the channeled out runs and smoothing over.  Need to get to B&Q now to get the right plaster, after which I will be puting up the coving ;) ;)

I would do all that as well Phil! :y :y :y

But I must admit my body feels the effect of this kind of work now where as 20-30-40 years ago I could keep pace with anyone, including my ex who could work all hours on business, then work on the house during the night! :-* :-* :-*

But now my mind can still do it, but my body says otherwise! :'( :'( :'(  Still my nails are still intact, and I have one bruise where I missed the chisel head with the hammer 3 times and stopped it with my hand!! :o :o :o :'( :'( :'(

i dont know, you might need an extra socket fitting. after all these do take quite a lot of power.

I like that. It's in my photobucket album now and may, at a later date, make another appearance. ;D ;D

Lizzie, is there anything you're not good at? I mean really, I can't think of a woman who can do as much as you  :o :o

Thank you Del, but yes there is sooooooo much I would love to do, but now realise in horror that I won't due to running out of time!!

Everything I can do has been done out of necessity, going back to the times when pennies were in very short supply, right into the days of having a young family and working, with my ex, all the hours God sent! :P :P :P :P

My one big regret though is that I was not intellectually good enough to become a medical doctor, and a paediatrician specifically.  I would loved to have spent my working life surrounded by babbies and young children, working on their illnesses, instead of talking about profit and loss :( :( :( :(

I wish I could! ;)

A mate of mine just got a quote. From the pole next to his garage to his garage was going to cost £7k excluding groundworks to put in the ducts for the cable, etc. :o

Needless to say, we got an inverter to power his 2 post lift.

On a practical level is there any advantage to be had with a three phase supply to non commercial premises.

Over and above that. can anyone explain (in language easily absorbed by this idiot) what the difference is between the two? (Other than one being single and the other being triple of course)
