motorbike or car????
« on: 20 March 2011, 20:06:59 »

notice a load of posts re the motogp.

if you were only allowed to have a bike or a car purely as a driving machine what would it be?

i personally cant ride a bike but it would scare the crap out of me so i say the car.

Got to be car.

No need for dressing up. Doesn't fall over when you stop (mostly). Can carry more passengers.  Can go to a meeting and not be wet through.  Can sleep in it if needs be.

The list goes on.

true chris,

but from the ''driving'' experience?

my mate is always banging on about his bike and how fast it is. which is true but cars are fast enough and a lot safer lol

Difficult one that in my opinion you can never get a buzz in the car like you can on a bike, It depends on your circumstances wife, kids.etc, but have to say nice sunny day bike every time,

Bike, no more sitting in a queue. You can filter past it all, even average bike gives super car performance.

Gortex clothing means cool in summer, and always dry!

My BMW GS is a big lardy tourer, but it will easily beat most cars off the line, the sensation of off-line and mid-range punch, beats any average car

the question was which would you have as a driving machine? not how i could ferry the kids or keep dry.so the bike has to win every time as you have to but the imput in all the time, you cant switch off and but the heater on and the wipers on when it rains.you have to be alert 100 percent of the time so as you are putting more in you get more out.

There was a time when I swore I would never own a car.

For comfort and practicality; the car(s). (Try transporting concrete fence posts on a bike lol). For fun and adrenalin rush; the bike every time. ;D ;D :y :y
