To pull this to some sort of conclusion.
Postcount crop has done as intended, made folks speak about various things, and perhaps made folks more aware of how OOF operates.

To answer some of the points made, however and in particular, how a 'senior' member may be percieved by a newbie when postcount numbers are culled.
Postcount numbers is not the definative indicator of knowledge on here. Far from it.

There are those who post exclusively in the Newbies section and rarely appear elsewhere. Thanks for extending the welcomes, but there is more to the forum that nodding a polite 'Hello' to a stranger whilst passing on your local High Street.

Likewise, others post in Electrical and never dare venture into GenDiss or General Help. Always handy to know what radio fits where but there is more to the cars than that.

Some have taken root in GenDiss and never dare venture the slightest word of help in any section other than to praise/boast/critiscise anything and everything in general in the big world that is outside of Omega ownership... 8-)
Some post utter drivel anywhere and everywhere simply to get 250 posts to sell something Omega related because they are either too tight to pay the going rate in the good places to sell such things and think that saving a shilling on here gets the best access to the best customer base. How wrong is that then? Sand to Arabs or ice to Eskimo's? :-/

Modified to add that there are a fair old proportion of members who do interact throughout the forum and do take an active part in all aspects of OOF and not simply huddle away in their own little corner, speaking only with the select few mates who also live there, oblivious to all else elsewhere.
Now whats a clique again?

Postcounts will be restored shortly and hopefully, we can all learn something. Myself included. And enjoy OOF for what it really is and not how some of the 'regulars' entice into being.
