(and yes, we dont actually like the fire, cant find / afford one we do like though :'( )

1, rinse coal in white spirit
2, spray with a fine mist of turps
3, sit back, light fire & kiss your arse goodbye :y

Just do James what they did with the coal in the tenders of the steam locomotive that was to pull the Royal Train; paint the coal white! :D :D :D ;)

It will look very Regal in your front room :y :y
