Have anyone got any information on how to contact Zippo? please PM me, I have not seen him on line for ages, we used to banter but I know he was in poor health, this worries me....... :( :(

He used to be a regular (and a good laugh) had serious back trouble iirc. Used to still pop in from time to time, but as you say Mike, hasnt been around for a long time. :(

We do have his email address obviously.

I believe however to use it in this manner would be contrary to the Data Protection Act, which one part roughly states off the top of my head,  that data must not be used for purposes other than which it was obtained for.

That said, I do share your concern and hope he is ok  :y

The DTA should not be used to prevent ....... :question :question I come across this a few times work wise but almost always get around it... ;) ;) ;)

Jimbob, I understand that to protect the forum you can not give out this information, and I am not asking you to....however, as an admin perhaps you could email him and ascertain if he is OK... :y

To be honest, I read emailing him, for any personal purpose could be taken as breaching the guidelines.  Sorry.

in my mind, If I have to question it, the answer is probably No.

others may differ, ill await opinions

I would consider using the email in this way to be a breach of our ethics, irrespective of DPA.

I know it annoys me when old forums email me...

Fair enough.... :y  I am searching through loads of old PM's, on email looking for contact details, I have loads but not his because I could not understand a message from him.... ::) ::)

Last heard from him on 1st November 2010 :(
