Bit of sad news.

Very sorry to tell you all that Ozzie Ferret passed away this afternoon.
He was a great little chap and we'll miss him.

Thanks everyone for your kind thoughts.
We didn't know how old he was, other than he was getting on a bit as he had led an unusual life before we got him.
He was rescued from his original owner by the RSPCA who commented that they'd never seen a ferret so thin that survived.
He stayed in a cage at the RSPCA for a year or so then was homed with a friend of ours who has 3 of her own.
Unfortunately he didn't get on with one of her young jills, she took a dislike to him and he would do nothing but cower on your knee.
So we had him and luckily ours took to him and they used to all play together and curl up in a big ferrety lump to sleep.
So the best we could tell was that he was elderly by the condition of his teeth and his general demeanour.
Hopfully he had a better time with us than in a cage.
