I've had a Galaxy S for the last 9 months.
I upgraded from an old I phone 3g.
Never had a problem with it  :y
Most of the apps of andriod market work without a problem.
Battery lasts at least 24 hours with plently of use  :y

Downloaded the latest version of andriod last month without any problems.
Much smoother  :y

It gets my vote  :y

Given your location, and drive out of town it can get rural, all smartphones have weaker signals than non smartphones

I am upgrading tomorrow. Getting the brand new SonyEricson Experia Arc. Some Tech Mags rate it higher the the iphone4. Google it and have a look...lots of features. One of the best cameras on a smart phone and recoreds in HD and comes with hd lead you can connect straight to your telly.

things have changed drastically..

I miss the days where  computer was a computer and a mobile was a mobile.. now also they add a photo machine , a gps and build those monsters..

galaxy seems to be a more man style imo..

however if you carry a hand bag, those galaxy tabs and ipads are also worth looking..

I agree with TB, BB's are really for corporate use....and unless you have them connected to a BB plan are a bit of a pain to get them to work.
I have a BB and its not connected to a BB plan.....getting the BB browser to work took a slight mod/tweak (altho you could install a 3 party browser instead)
Forget getting BB email to work, it won't, you need to install Gmail or similar.

A lot of effort to go to.....but then i already had the BB and wanted to pop one of the sims in it mentioned in my sig   ::) ;)

You can only decide by what you want to use it for... My requirement was a highly stable handset that was very good at the email and internet side of things... iPhone4 was the correct choice for me :y :y

HTC Desire gets a :y from me too !

Did ponder over the Desire HD, but decided it's just that little bit too big for my needs.

True but films in HD on this phone look amazing! :y
:y Yep, seen some demos.
It was difficult deciding which Desire to go for, but in the end it came down to which was most suitable slipped in a jeans/trouser pocket.
On the bike the HD wouldn't be an issue as it would be in the internal breast pocket of my jacket, same when I'm wearing a suit, but in a jeans pocket I found it to be just that little bit too big.

iPhone 4 records HD video and plays HD too, picture quality is amazing, as is the overall ownership experience, from the moment you open the beautifully high quality box......!!

mainly it depends on an individual's requirement coz all phones whether it be HTC desire, iphone 4, Blackberry or samsung galaxy S2 have features less or more than the others so as per your requirement whether you wish to use for browsing, gaming or jst as a normal phone will determine which one would be best for you so pls mention your requirement as it would become easy for others to recommend you a best phone...
