I use Avast too and seems to work fine and updates daily. I also use Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware which has been invaluable a couple of times. :y

Yes, I have that on an old HP machine running XP presently residing in the garage from where I'm posting this message.

Avast seems to do the job well, as far as I can tell. (There must be a song in there somewhere)

I use NIS on the other W7 MCE machines.

Been using MSE for a while now on all the family systems, and I tend to put it on anything that comes here for a reinstall or new build.
Seems to do it's job well without being intrusive.

I use MSE aswell on all my home PCs (1 desktop, 4 laptops) and have found it quite good.

I used to use AVG but have found it seems to be getting more an more bloated  :(
