Hi guys n girls,

I've just sent another PM to v6alex explaining that as I've not heard from him for almost a month and no exhaust has been received, I'm now going to proceed with claiming my money back...

Again, if anyone does hear from him could they send him in my direction please

Apologies for going on about this guys 'n girls...

Still had no contact from v6alex, tried to locate him through various avenues but had no joy.
As of 5mins ago, it is now a police matter....gutted it had to go this way!

Learned a lesson, thats for sure

I realise the sticky section is already big in the bits for sale, but maybe worth adding a 'title' sticking saying do not buy anything from sub 250 post users?  :-/

As this happens all to much, is it possible to turn off the PM feature until a post count is achieved?

Yes, but a nightmare.

Everyone knows the rules, its their choice to deal with someone unproven.  Im sure many deals are successful that OOF never gets to hear about.  A crying shame they arent all fine.

Yes, but a nightmare.

Very true. I knew what I was doing, just was blinded by the thought of a shiny new exhaust! 

This site is excellent and I don't think anymore could be done to prevent what has happend to me. It was my fault and no-one elses.
You have to draw a line on rules etc and I feel this site has a nice balance

To be honest I am a bit surprised the Police are interested as really its a civil matter and needs to go through the small claims courts.....

You should always get a landline number at least before you send money, and if they hail from Liverpool, their name , address, postcode and probation officers/social workers phone number
