awesome Andy Murray
« on: 23 June 2011, 13:43:35 »

I understand he's not popular in Englandshire (judging by the hate mail he generates as read out on radio 5)  ;D

Good.

Hope he wins a slam one day - he's easily good enough, and it would certainly give the whingeing south something else to moan about  :y

He's an excellent player and I like to see him win, but he will never make the top three until he gets a grip of his emotions. Watching him behave like a spoiled brat yesterday, shouting obscenities and giving his shoe the treatment, I felt quite ashamed.

Out of his depth against the big boys I'm afraid BJ. Emotionally immature too.

If he does win however. He will be the first English player to hold the trophy since Fred Perry..... ::) ::) :y

His mother doesn't look too pleased with him most of the time either. ;D

I wish him all the best but won't be getting too excited while he behaves like Eeyore!

Why would any self respecting Englishman want to support him after the way he's slagged of the English in the past!? ::)

I think he's potentially a good player. Shows signs of brilliance. But seems to blow hot and cold. Strange. :-X

I suspect in a differene era he would do well but, the competition around at the moment is significantly better sadly.

He does come across as a miserable git though, guess thats the reduced sun light and whinging locals he had to endure whilst groing up  :y ;D

when has he ever slagged off the English? I remember an English journalist jokingly wound him up about Scotlands failure to qualify for some world cup when he was a teenager and he returned the compliment........surely thats not what you're still sore about? so when was this slagging thats got your knickers in a twist? and what did he say?  :o

its simply racist to not support him because hes scottish, dont support because you dont like the way he plays, dont support him if you love Federer who hates playing him, dont support him because hes a bit surly and doesnt take any crap off anyone....but not supporting him because hes scottish is just petty and  racist :-?

vs Federer...played 14 times, won 8....hows that for being out of depth against the big boys  :y
