feet nibbling fish
« on: 26 July 2011, 21:18:10 »

would you put your feet in a tank and let fish eat away the dead skin off your feet, they are being banned in some states in usa for being unsanitary, as the tanks are not cleaned and sanitised after every customer

so would you have this done and do you think its unhygenic??

Yes I would, with no hygenie worries either

They have better filter systems than most give em credit for (I used to work in the aquatics trade)

I also looked into setting one up when im redundant, but decided too much of a gimmick with no future.

I would and as long as the water has filters built in then its fine, typical Merkins over reacting, next they will be banning paddling in the sea ::)

Theres quite a few places popping up around, central & SE London. so must be something good about it, or must be a new trend to be seen with feets in a tank??

The missus had this done the other day, owner was very knowledgable about the fish and their life cycle/diet and filtration etc, and they seem to like chewing on the dead skin from your feet  :P

Very popular at the moment as well, the shop was very busy and had to turn a few customers away

we have one near us too and seems popular. TBH, in principle, cant see anything wrong with it but its no different than anything else is it. I mean theres nothing wrong in principle with kebab shops or burger vans but quite a big difference in how individuals run theirs in terms of standards! Must say, dont fancy the fish/feet thing myself but given the amount of time I spend in my work boots I think thats probably a good thing for the fish ;D
