A non-rant for a change...(almost)
« on: 01 August 2011, 16:37:05 »

Most of our posts these days appear to be letting off steam, a rant, maybe at the EU  ::) - Or which ever, but I'd like to post something positive, about James Villa's Holidays

Myself and MrsT rented a Villa in the Portuguese Algave for a week, and, well it all went fine, what a pleasant company to deal with.

Rang up, booked after seeing an offer online. Booked, paid, filled in paperwork. Job done.

Get e-Ticket, get to airport, get on the plane which was on time, clean, arrive on-time.

I ordered a shitbox Group A hire car, and a shitbox, Group A was exactly what I got, even got a small upgrade from 3 to 5 door.

Picked up the shitbox, a Colt:

Actually as they go, this was not too bad, plenty of leg room, my knee's usually rub the steering wheel, no room, and generally rubbish. But this was fine, plenty of room, bags of space next to the clutch, surprisingly good and supportive seats for someone 6ft5.

Gutless, made my Omega feel like  Bugatti Veyron, had a very choppy ride too, but had A/C and did the job  :y

Villa? Perfectly Described!

Great Views

This was outdoor pool, we had a second indoor one too  :D

Had great food & drinks:

Had lazy days by pool watching odd Ant drag something along, quite interesting to watch....

Spotted the occasional 'big bug' around:

Those that know me, know I am just a big kid really. So a trip to the local waterpark was a must....

Policed by Vigilante's  :o

Some of the shops had 'questionable' displays in my opinion. Guns with Kids shoes anyone?

Rants? If I had any, would be pay before you fill up with petrol, with a little shitbox I have no idea how much petrol goes in. Tad pricey at 1.62 litre too. - Small annoyance really.

Main rant was the morons at Luton, thanks to Captain "cutting in the queue" we landed early. Shame the morons did not have a bus ready to meet the bus. I mean FFS its a London airport using a Bus to a plane!? I've been to Slovenia tinny country just finding its feet. Has a fab airport, modern, clean, quick, free WiFi.

Also appeared the bus driver had driving lessons from TheBoy, he was under the impression the throttle and brake only had a "ON" of "OFF" position   >:(

Other than that, nice little week in the sun.  8-)

Right, time to start planning my 4th holiday of the year  :D

Nice photos.

I like the water park chute. Makes a change not to be deposited in a murky pool of dishwater. (Orlando).

I rather liked it, had more clutch space than Omega & similar sized mirrors  :o

With a decent lump under the bonnet, be quite a nice little hatch  :y

Glad you and S enjoyed it. James Villas rarely have duff accomodation IME. TBH, not that expensive either, for what you get.

Luton is by far the worse UK airport. I accept it is staffed by the world's most stupid, incompitent inbred retards known to man.  But the layout was designed by a 1st class prat - you check in, fight the prats in security, walk a million, zillion miles, then get a bus back to the back of checkin.  Not only that, but the mongrels who designed the roads and dropoff point, all recently built, is obviously resitting their SATS.  I'm glad my next trip to a James Villas holiday is from Birmingham.
