Taking MOT test early?
« on: 10 August 2011, 21:23:59 »

Whats the limit on having an MOT test before its due? BMW needs one on 20th September, but as I'm taking it for a service tomorrow wondered if I could get one done?

Its over a month so thinking no.....  :-/

You can but it won't preserve the anniversary... i.e if MOT'd tomorrow it will expire 10/08/2012

That was the interpretation of the rules when I was testing ;)

its on your cert...the earliest day you can present to preserve the anniversary, while giving you chance to sort any issues  :y

Only if it's issued with a prohibition notice... i.e. Deemed dangerous to drive ;)
