Thunderflies - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thrips - when I lived up north the picture frames would end up filled with the damned things every year.. oddly enough, down south, I never see them.

Probably die in all the pollution  ;D

Seen it quite a few times.
Leave the monitor off for a day or so and place a heat/light source a couple of inches away from the problem area, the bug will find it's way out.
Whatever you do, do not try to squish it as it will die where it is and remain there forever.

Maybe it's just Slough & Bracknell they don't like, then  ;D Thankfully!

Then again, I get attacked by the biggest wasps & hornets I've ever seen here.. fancy a swap?

They come off Barossa at the back of Sandhurst.  Big tinkers which like to dive bomb you while you're on patrol.  Very effective at turning big hard army blokes into squealing little girls ;D

Dont kill it, turn monitor off, they will come out by themselves.

Very common in the summer.

hehe, don't worry about it James, I've had a couple stuck in my monitor for a couple years. Little tinkers got in and decided to use it as their final resting place. ::)
